More Than Code: How I Define Myself as a Web Developer

Butwal, For many people, a web developer is someone who writes code and builds websites.
For me, web development is much more than that-it’s about creating digital experiences that actually work.

I’m Subash Marasini, and alongside being a graphic designer, I define myself as a web developer who understands design, users, and business goals.

Where My Web Development Journey Started

My journey into web development started naturally through design. As I worked on graphic design projects, I realized that visuals alone are not enough if they don’t perform well online.

So, I began learning:

  • Website structure
  • User experience (UX)
  • Responsive design
  • WordPress development
  • Performance and usability basics

This helped me bridge the gap between design and functionality.

Design + Development = Better Websites

One of my biggest strengths as a web developer is my design background. I don’t just focus on how a website functions-I focus on:

  • How users interact with it
  • How information is presented
  • How the brand feels online

Because of this, I build websites that are:

  • Clean and modern
  • Easy to navigate
  • Mobile-friendly
  • Aligned with brand identity

Websites with Purpose

Every website I develop has a goal. It could be:

  • Generating leads
  • Sharing information clearly
  • Strengthening brand trust
  • Supporting digital marketing efforts

Whether it’s a business website, an educational platform, or a personal brand site, I always ask:
What should this website achieve?

From Freelancer to Company-Level Development

My experience working with different organizations and now through Tech Paaila Pvt. Ltd. has helped me understand real-world requirements-deadlines, client expectations, scalability, and long-term maintenance.

As a web developer, I don’t just deliver a website; I deliver a digital foundation for growth.
